Lesley DeCasseres, Esq.

Lesley DeCasseres is the founder and principal attorney of the DeCasseres Law Firm LLC, an independent commercial and technology legal practice serving businesses and organizations seeking experienced, practical counsel. With more than nineteen years of experience spanning a global public company, a large public sector organization, and private practice, Lesley advises clients on commercial and technology transactions, procurement, corporate governance, and the legal and operational risks associated with data privacy, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and intellectual property.

Before founding the firm, Lesley served as Assistant Vice President – Senior Counsel at Moody’s Ratings and as Senior Corporate Counsel at the New York City Housing Authority. Earlier in her career, she practiced corporate law at Littman Krooks LLP. She has negotiated and closed more than $100 million in technology and vendor contracts, supported more than $1 billion in enterprise revenue activity, and advised business teams, including procurement, information technology, finance, operations, and risk management, on sophisticated transactions and strategic initiatives. Her experience includes SaaS and software licensing agreements, master services agreements, vendor and professional services contracts, procurement matters, non-disclosure agreements, AI-related contracting, and other complex commercial arrangements.

Lesley brings a business-minded approach to legal counsel, helping clients move transactions forward while identifying and appropriately managing legal and operational risk. She works to provide clear, responsive, and commercially practical guidance tailored to each client’s objectives, risk tolerance, and stage of growth.

Lesley earned her Juris Doctor from Cornell Law School, where she served as a General Editor of the Cornell Journal of Law and Public Policy, and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Columbia University, where she was named to the Dean’s List. She is admitted to practice law in New York and has been appointed to the New York State Bar Association’s Committee on Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technologies for the 2026–2027 term. Her professional affiliations also include sections of the New York State Bar Association focused on business law and women in law as well as the New York City Bar Association and Columbia College Women.
